Privacy Policy

Who we are. Posy ("Posy," "we," "us") is operated by Posy, LLC, and is a web-based tool that helps photographers organize their studio and send clients a visual questionnaire. This policy explains what we collect and how we use it.

The two kinds of people in Posy

1. Photographers (our customers) create an account and use Posy. 2. Their clients open a questionnaire link a photographer sent. Posy processes client data on behalf of the photographer: the photographer is the data controller of their clients' information, and Posy is the processor.

What we collect

From photographers: name, email, password (stored securely, never in plain text), payment details (handled by Stripe — we don't store card numbers), and the content you upload (photos of your closet, locations, props, themes, and notes).

From your clients (on your behalf): their name, email, the session details they pick, and answers to your questions.

Automatically: basic usage and device data to keep the app working and secure.

How we use it

To provide and improve Posy, authenticate you, process payments, send account and submission emails, respond to support, and keep the service secure. We do not sell your data or your clients' data.

Who we share it with

Service providers only — Stripe (payments), our app platform and hosting provider, and our email provider — each only to run Posy. We may disclose data if required by law.

Cookies & storage

We use essential cookies/local storage to keep you logged in and remember preferences. We don't run third-party advertising trackers.

Retention & deletion

We keep data while your account is active. Request deletion by emailing hello@joinposy.com; photographers can delete client records inside Posy.

Security

We use industry-standard measures (encryption in transit, secure authentication). No system is 100% secure, but we take protection seriously.

Your rights

You can access, correct, or delete your data by emailing us. Depending on where you live (e.g., California, EU), you may have additional rights, which we honor.

Children

Posy is for photographers (adults) running a business. Photographers may upload photos of children as part of their own work; that content belongs to the photographer and is governed by their own agreements with their clients. Posy is not directed to children and doesn't knowingly collect data directly from them.

Changes & contact

We'll update this page and the effective date when things change. Questions: hello@joinposy.com.

Terms of Service

Acceptance. By using Posy you agree to these terms. Posy is operated by Posy, LLC.

The service. Posy is provided "as is" while in active development. Features may change, and we may have occasional downtime.

Your account. You're responsible for your login and the activity under your account.

Your content. You own the photos and content you upload. You grant Posy permission to host and display it solely to provide the service to you and your clients. You're responsible for having the rights to what you upload and for your own agreements with your clients.

Acceptable use. Don't use Posy for anything illegal, abusive, or that infringes others' rights.

Payment, trial & founding rate. Paid plans are billed via Stripe. We offer a 14-day free trial; you won't be charged until it ends. Founding members who join during the founding window keep their $19/mo rate as long as their subscription stays active. Cancel anytime; your plan stays active through the end of the current billing period.

Cancellation & refunds. You can cancel anytime from your account. To avoid your next charge, cancel at least 7 days before your next billing date; if you cancel within 7 days of renewal, the cancellation takes effect at the following billing cycle. We don't offer refunds for partial months or unused time.

Disclaimers & liability. Posy is provided without warranties to the extent allowed by law. Our liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the prior 12 months.

Changes & contact. We may update these terms; changes are posted here. Questions: hello@joinposy.com.

Note: These are solid starting policies for launch. When you have a moment, consider a quick pass through Termly or iubenda (free), or a lawyer, to localize for Wisconsin — just to be thorough.
